episode: -> S.W.E.A.T. camp 10th 11th 12th. <-
this is going to be an extremely loooong entry.
because it covers three days' worth of content.
went for S.W.E.A.T. camp organised by Science Club on the 10th, 11th and 12th.
most people already knew each other through one way or another. boo.
there were 8 groups in all. 10 members in each group.
i was placed in group 2. named ourselves "Butter Chicken".
(bok-bok-gaying all the way -_-")
Mark. Moses. Eugene I. Eugene II. Rayson.
Mahrunisa. Melissa. Xin Mei. Kimberly. Hui Min. Jasmine.
there were "Nasi Briani", "Fantastic Four", "Hi-Five", "Runners" and "Squatters" too.
(i can't remember the other two groups' names)
but the weather wasn't good. saddened.
the rain kept falling. sometimes heavily sometimes lightly.
rained onto us as we continued most of our activities as planned.
DAY ONE
we were supposed to be camping @ East Coast Park. beside Outward Bound Singapore (OBS).
but the rain + thunderstorm came not long after we pitched our tents.
the rain continued on and off. heavily and lightly. as the day continued as planned.
dragon boating. touch rugby. cage soccer. food and beverages (F&B) - secret pal (SP)
dragon boating was @ Kallang River.
(the waters was slightly salty; we won the internal race! ^^)
skipped touch rugby for a bite @ Subway.
(the rain was cold; we were completely drenched; the guys were hungry)
cage soccer was further down after National Stadium.
(seriously just as the name suggests; soccer indoors within a "cage")
the heavy rain + thunderstorm flooded our tents.
some tents even collapsed under the pressure of rain + wind.
we were last minute sent back to NUS instead.
lunch was packet of 杂菜饭.
dinner was barbeque (BBQ).
white bread. garlic butter. marshmellow. crabstick. sausage. satay.
each group member entitled to only one per food item. haha! :X
F&B - SP was held @ NUS.
there were 8 groups in all. equal number of gurls and guys in each group.
(apparently there were more guys than gurls; gurl facilitators had to join in the game too)
i was placed under "Cookies".
Ding Li. Wei Ming. Benjie. Jerald (facilitator).
Magan. Doanna. Hui Min. another gurl (forgot her name).
"Cream" was supposed to be our "partner" group. but we didn't get to interact with each other. interacted only internally within "Cookies".
there were "Cookies n Cream", "Sushi n Wasabi", "Dou Jiang You Tiao (豆浆油条)" and "Curry n Prata".
everyone was blindfolded by a piece of black cloth.
my SP and i were made to hold hands while we chatted.
we were forced to eat that damned pocky stick too. -_-"
we slept in LT24.

we had to go back East Coast Park by ourselves.
Science Club committee members suggested..
1. go to town and take bus 36.
(many got lost searching for bus 36; maybe decided to go shopping instead)
2. hop onto the Science Club logistics lorry.
(meaning wake up @ 0700; lorry sets off @ 0730; activities began only @ 1000)
3. cabbie.
(fastest; most convenient; most expensive too)
"Butter Chicken" decided to take on cabbie.
we splitted into groups of 4, 3, 3.
the cabbie fare costs around S$15.50.
windsurfing. blading. SP candlelight dinner. mystery island challenge.

(fell into the sea many a times and forced to drink that sickly salty sea waters x_x)
blading @ East Coast Park.
(first time roller blading; fell six times; twice on my butt; PAIN! back aching now)
set off to Marina ferry terminal after that.
took a ferry to Big Sister's Island of the Sisters' Islands.
SP candlelight dinner is to cook Koka maggi mee + eggs + sausages + crabsticks + fishballs + yogurt (dessert) + sea cockroaches (extra proteins).
(sea cockroaches = tiny shrimp-like creatures hopping around actively and into our cooking mess tins. -_-")
my SP went home. more like the whole of his group 4 went home. -_-"
saddened. i don't even know who i was talking to the whole of last night. dots.
mystery island challenge was to grope around the island in the dark with our torchlights.
within our SP groups, we were supposed to play eco-challenge.
the challenge began @ 2330 and ended @ 0230.
pretty fun and thrilling walking around in pitch-black darkness.
but tiring walking back and forth sixteen stations. x_x
just when "Butter Chicken" reunited and decided to go back to our shelter for some sleep.
we discovered our shelter occupied with thousands and thousands of black ants. x_x
the guys burnt them with fire.
threw all our bags crawling with ants out onto the sandy beach.
the ants continued their tyranny.
we gave up and proceeded to shift our belongings to the jetty.
slept in the jetty peacefully only @ 0400.

DAY THREE
woke up with the rain pitter-pattering on our faces @ 0830.
had a fabulous breakfast with white bread (given by Science Club) + sardine + tuna + jam + nutella + sausage (bought in Singapore)
activities were cancelled due to the rain and time constraint.
we boarded the ferry back to mainland Singapore @ 1200 noon.
spelling the end of S.W.E.A.T. camp.
hope to see them again in some other camps! ^^
