episode: -> approaches. <-
there exist two approaches i apply in life towards friends and situations.
one is the soft approach.
the other, the hard approach.
needless to say, i always try my best to go by the soft approach.
i always thought that when two or more parties are involved in a tense situation.
someone has to relent and give in, eventually.
the earlier the better.
this is to prevent farther damage done.
but soft approaches do not apply successfully in every case.
soft approaches apparently do not seem to work on certain people.
they go on to criticise critically instead.
either they do not underatand or appreciate what i am trying to do.
or they simply doubt my sincerity and suspect sarcasm instead.
i am at a loss at what i should do.
taking the hard approach is certainly an alternative.
but i am really reluctant to do so.
it may just ruin everything you have worked so hard for.
and may end up regretting later.
which is why i have always try (to the best of my ability) to stop myself from acting on impulse.
it is not always successful.
but i did my best.
anger and devastation tends to manipulate our thoughts, words, and actions.
especially when we are acting on impulse.
the young me would have rushed into the hard approach without second thoughts.
but i have learnt.
i don't mind apologising and giving in so as to compromise.
but please do not question my sincerity to make amendments.
it hurts pretty much to be condemned when i am trying my best to salvage the situation by apologising.
