episode: -> UNluckY day. *frowns* <-
this is probably what happens when it is an UNluckY day.
the 3 modes of public transport simply fails.. on you.
if it wasn't threatening to rain cats and dogs (which it did in the end), maybe it wouldn't have been so screwed up.
maybe, i don't know.
i WAS early, but somehow ended up LATE.
1. the buses either come together or refuse to come.
i was waiting for the usual buses - 21 or 60.
but i waited and waited and waited.
the other buses came and left, came and left.
but there just wasn't any bus 21 or 60 in sight.
when bus 21 finally finally came, it was packed sardine.
and following closely behind it, were 2 buses 60 + another bus 21, all also packed equally sardine. -_-"
this wasn't the worst.
2. you either press your body against the commuters, and just force your way into the train, or you can "patiently" wait for the next FULL train, and the next still FULL train, and the next next next next.. .. ..
.. .. .. how many can you wait when you are rushing for an examination?
because it was raining cats and dogs, i transited to bus 25 to go Kembangan MRT station.
thinking that i would probably have a higher chance squeezing up the train at a station before the always-crowded-during-peak-hours Eunos MRT station, it really wasn't any better there. -_-"
i stared at hordes and hordes of people squeezed in the train up until the doors, and thought to myself, there is no way i can even put my foot in!
i eventually finally got a place to stand in the train, but i was propped up until the door.
upon arriving at Eunos MRT station, there was this man who forcefully (i really mean FORCEfully) pressed and rubbed his big (and i really mean BIG; probably appear even BIGger by proportion since there simply wasn't anymore space) butt into my tummy and *ahem*. WHAT THE HELL?!
*relief* flooded me when it was finally City Hall (interchange) MRT station.
the best has yet to come.
at Raffles Place (interchange) MRT station, they played a nice "ding dong" sound: This train is delayed due to a train fault. We apologise for the inconvenience blah blah blah.. .. .. (repeat in other languages), repeatedly played FOUR freaking irritating times. :(((
the train eventually budged from the station.
but i am already running late (was early, now late) with 20++ minutes more to spare.
i alighted at Outram Park (interchange) MRT station and quickly flagged a cab.
3. the entire route to AYE (Tuas) was JAMMED.
35% more surcharge or not, i don't care.
rushing for examination, i don't want to be late.
with 20 more minutes to spare, cabbing there would ensure i would be on time, even if there is going to be a slight jam at the Buona Vista exit (always jammed there in the mornings last time).
BUT.
the route to AYE (Tuas) just have to be JAMMED.
it was jammed all the way, and i really mean ALL THE WAY.
all the way up till i exited from Buona Vista to get to school.
it is simply craziness.

cab fare: S$12.40 (including 35% surcharge)
end-result: 9.10am (10 minutes late)
rushed to the examination venue, fortunately only began 5 minutes ago.
but i was completely nervous and flustered, and i took awhile longer before my mind could concentrate.
this sucks.
i am taking bus 30 no matter what happens the next time (this Wednesday).
and i am leaving house 3 hours before examination time (9 - 3 = 6am).
