episode: -> Elfen Lied. <-
i stumbled across "Elfen Lied" pretty fatefully, purely by accident.
the theme and story plot were what attracted my attention.
when the age of humanity comes to a supposed end, due to a new mutated species "Diclonius" arising.
but they are either killed at birth, or kept captive and prisoned within a research facility subjected to torturous experiments.
the story begins..
when a dangerous Diclonius "Lucy" escapes from the research facility, killing many soldiers brutally in the process..
there are plenty of gore, acts of violence, and nudity (NOT perverse), shown throughout the series, summing up in only 13 episodes.
but the series is also very sad, depressing, and touching.
(i seriously cannot get enough of "Elfen Lied". >.<)
