episode: -> Clear Blue Skies = Big Round Moon. <-
Clear blue skies greeted me this morning.
The haze seemingly disappeared.
News had that the haze is blown to Muar.
[Muar is the royal city in the state of Johor, Malaysia.]
Air Pollution Index (API) in Muar is reported to be as high as 746! :S
[API is not quite the same as PSI.]
An astronomy fanatic friend told me that the Moon will be at its closest proximity to the Earth for this year.
Hence, the Moon is expected to be estimated say, maybe 5% larger than other days?
As yesterday's skies were clear of haze, my astronomy fanatic friend decided not to take his chances and wait for tonight (in case the haze returns)..
.. He quickly set up his telescope and photographic equipment to capture the Moon yesterday. :)
Please see below for the Moon pictures (credits to

Doesn't look to be much of a difference, but beautiful Moon nonetheless. :)
This is more (r a n d o m), but my astronomy fanatic friend also took a picture of the Red Moon during the recent Lunar Eclipse.
[Red Moon because it appears red! :D It's so fascinating! ^^]
Reddish hue Moon. :)
On a (r a n d o m) side note, due to the crazy haze a few days back, the Moon also appeared red..
.. But it is also blurry and looks "sick". :(
Only red light, due to its longer wavelength, is able to penetrate the thick haze to reach our eyes.
All other colours are reflected away from us.
That's really interesting, isn't it? :)
