episode: -> Charlene + Hui Min = Roaming Singapore. <-
someone cancelled on me today.
thus i went Charlene's house.
wanted to play badminton with her initially.
but the heavy rain wouldn't let me.
we ended up chatting away again. :)
decided to take the car and go roam Singapore.
Charlene drove us to Tampines.
she wanted to buy her Chinese New Year clothes.
i followed (accompanied her).
bad idea.
i ended up buying with her too. x_x
walked around in circles up and down Tampines Mall and Century Square.
tried lots and lots of clothes.
for the fun of it.
we laughed at each other.
took many many farnee shots.
fell in love with some of the clothes i tried.
but no money to afford it. -_-"
her uncle bear bear wanted to meet her.
so off we went.
realised how far Toa Payoh actually is from Tampines.
despite being on the PIE expressway. x_x
her uncle bear bear seeing us so sad.
decided to bring us to try the fried hokkien mee at Adam Road.
it was a disappointment.
too bland. too watery.
a complete different taste from what they had described and tasted the last time they ate.
(different people cook different fried hokkien mee; even though it is the same stall)
her uncle bear bear then brought us to MacRitchie Reservoir to walk around.
he insisted that some exercise would do us some good.
especially after we have just eaten so much.
i agreed.
(since i am the one with the curfew)
called home to inform my parents that i may be home slightly after twelve midnight.
but not to worry because Charlene would send me home.
MacRitchie Reservoir is dark (despite lights), deserted (quite empty), cold (the breeze is chilly) and quiet (really really silent; except for insects' calls).
what to expect at 2330.
we sat at the reservoir staring out at the calm and transquil waters.
chatted and walked somemore around the reservoir before returning to the car.
i need to go home before my parents decided to murder me.
i reached home only at 0030.
didn't know there are quite a number of buses still on service at as late as 0030.
had always thought that all bus services end at 0000.
except those night bus services of course.
thank you very much to the uncle bear bear.
knowing that he is actually very sad himself.
he still put up a cheerful front for us.
so that we wouldn't be saddened.
i must say, thank you, Thaddeus.
